 Click on the photo to view larger version. These are the surviving children of John G. Sharp and Mary Martha Kramer (known as Martha). Taken August 1877. They were orphaned when their mother died the year before and their father had passed away two years before her. The children were separated upon their mother's death and one of the girls is not in the picture but the back is marked as "July 1876 we all separated. Aug 1877 we all meet in this." Eight children were listed in court documents but there are only seven in the picture. The children are (back row) Estella born 4 Apr 1860, Richard born 9 Dec 1957, Ella born 1861 OR Martha J born 30 Sep 1862 (known as Mattie). (front row) twins Isabella and Corabella born 18 Aug 1869 (not sure who is who), Charles P. born 1 Sep 1872, and my great grandfather Albert K born 17 Aug 1866. They had another son Charles born 23 Jan 1871 died 27 Feb 1871. All were born in Groveport, OH. John was born in England and Mary Martha was born in Germany.
